Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company at Le Bourget 2013


Sukhoi Civil Aircraft will participate in the jubilee international Paris Air Show-Le Bourget 2013 exhibition which will take place on the premises of the Le Bourget Airport from June 17 to June 23, 2013.
The exhibits of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft will be presented as part of the booth of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) in pavilion 2A, booths No. 197-198, and in chalet B 295 jointly with the SuperJet International company.
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be for the first time presented at a large-scale exhibition, in the livery of the Mexican airline Interjet. As of today, a firm order has been signed with the airline Interjet for twenty SSJ100 aircraft and ten additional options.
As part of the Paris Air Show 2013, negotiations with potential customers of SSJ100 have been planned as well as with the developers, manufacturers and suppliers of aviation equipment, and representatives of the European certification bodies.
The Paris Air Show is an effective instrument for the promotion of Russian aircraft technology in the market and for the demonstration of its competitive advantages to foreign customers.
"For the developers of aircraft technology, participation of the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company in the largest aviation event - Paris Air Show – is an effective platform for a constructive dialogue with potential customers and experts of the global aviation industry. We are sure that the work of many years that was put into the creation and development of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft, the accumulated expertise, the innovative production and technological cooperation together with the increased rate of production will allow us to take a worthy place among the leaders of production of the world's civil aviation products in our segment," noted President of SCAC Andrey Kalinovsky.
The commercial operation of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 started on April 21, 2011. In 2012, the exports of the SSJ100 began. As of today, the SSJ100 backlog includes 179 aircraft. As of the end of May 2013, sixteen SSJ100 aircraft have been delivered to customer-airlines. SSJ100 that are currently in operation have carried out more than 12,000 commercial flights in total, with the overall length of over 20,000 flight hours.
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) is the regional 100-seater aircraft of the new generation developed and manufactured by JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft with the participation of Alenia Aermacchi. On May 19, 2008, the SSJ100 made its first flight. The maximum cruising speed of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 is 0.81 Mach, and the cruising altitude is 12,200 m (40,000 feet). The length of the take-off strip for the base version of the aircraft is 1,731 m, for the version with the increased flight range - 2,052 m. The flight range for the base version is 3,048 km, for the version with the increased flight range - 4,578 km.
The shareholders of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft are JSC "Sukhoi" (75% – 1 share) and, as of April 7, 2009, its strategic partner – the Italian company of Alenia Aermacchi (25% + 1 share). The Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA) company was founded in 2000 in order to create new models of aircraft designed for civil purposes. The head office of the company is located in Moscow. SCA also has branches on the main production sites in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Novosibirsk and Voronezh. At the present time, the company's main project is the implementation of the programme for creating the family of the Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
