“AIR CARGO INDIA 2014” to promote export by air

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), the apex body of Indian export promotion organizations set up jointly by the Ministry of Commerce and private trade and industry, and thus being a partner of the Government of India in promoting India's exports, expressed its appreciation to ‘STAT Times’ in organizing   the    5th edition of  “AIR CARGO INDIA 2014” which is scheduled to take place from 4-6, February, 2014 in Mumbai.  The Federation represents over 100,000 exporters across India and controls more than 70% of the total export from India. FIEO is involved in export trade facilitation and is considered as the one stop organization for foreign investors for trade partnerships in India.
In a message addressed to the organizers of the event, Mr. Rafeeque Ahmed, President FIEO, complimented the efforts of ‘STAT Times’ in organizing the event which “would provide a platform for all the players in the National economic growth such as the Airlines, Airports, Freight Forwarders and Shippers to come face to face with each other and pave way for the growth of the international trade”. Further, the President FIEO, considers the Air Cargo Industry as “a vital component paving way for the Nation’s economic growth” and appreciated the initiatives taken by the Indian Government through the relaxation on the cap for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) “which have not only given a fillip to the manufacturing sector but is also expected to give a boost to the investment climate in the country in coming months” and thus “augurs well for the economy”.  He, in addition also highlighted the recently published report by “Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) which forecast that “India would soon surpass Japan as the third largest economy in the world” to reiterate the Federation’s conviction that “coupled with the Government’s initiatives to address the infrastructural bottlenecks, the Indian economy would be on the higher growth trajectory once again.”
“As for the event, the support from the Federation, which represents the Indian entrepreneurs spirit of enterprise in the global market and the one stop organization for foreign investors for trade partnerships in India, adds one more feather to its already flamboyant cap.  The fact that the Federation, which provides the content, direction and thrust to India’s expanding international trade, is endorsing the event is a testimony to the already established credentials of our event and we sincerely hope that the support from them would take the event to new heights.   We whole heartedly welcome all the members of the Federation to be part of this mega event which,  ever since its inception, had maintained its indisputable standing of being India’s one and only biennial international event conceptualized to promote the interests of the Indian Air Cargo Industry” said Mr.RK Patra , Editor-in-Chief  of STAT Times, the organizer of the event.
