Frankfurt's Fraport Group's five majority-owned airports posted a year-on-year 0.6 per cent decline in air cargo handled in July to 179,500 tonnes, but this was offset my a 0.6 per cent year-on-year increaseom from January to July.
Frankfurt Airport, Fraport's principal holding reported a cargo decline of 0.6 per cent year on year to 176,625 tonnes in July and a 0.7 per cent increase to 1.19 million tonnes over the first half.
Furthermore, in the first six months of 2013, Fraport Group posted net income of EUR82.1 million (US$109.1 million), increasing one per cent year on year drawn on revenues of EUR1.212 billion, up 5.1 per cent.
The company expects revenue to increase five per cent for the full year of 2013, said Fraport chairman Stefan Schulte.
The company operates the airports of Frankfurt, Antalya in Turkey; Burgas and Varna in Bulgaria and in Lima, Peru.
