DB Schenker moves into a new headquarters at Frankfurt Airport

DB Schenker, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG that focuses on logistics, has moved into a new headquarters at Frankfurt Airport enabling the management functions from Berlin, Mainz, Essen and Kelsterbach to be merged and consolidated under one roof, the Shipping Gazette indorms.
The new HQ, with a complement of 500 workers, occupies the top 10 floors of the new 15-storey Alpha Rotex office building in Frankfurt's Gateway Gardens covering an area of 14,500 square metres.
"Our new DB Schenker headquarters marks the first time we are consolidating management of the transportation and logistics division and the European headquarters of our rail freight transport company in a single location," said DB Mobility Logistics management board member Karl-Friedrich Rausch.
"Not only will the move make our operations even more effective in the future, we are also sending a clear signal of Frankfurt's importance as an international logistics hub," he said.
