  26.09.2013

December 7, 2013, 12 p.m. Ukraine International Airlines will transfer Kiev – St. Petersburg – Kiev flight operation from Pulkovo 2 to modern newly-built Terminal 1 of Pulkovo International airport.
Due to the new terminal inauguration (scheduled on November 29, 2013) and Pulkovo International airport reorganization UIA-coded Kiev – St. Petersburg – Kiev flights will be operated to/from Terminal 1. UIA flights` transfer to the state-of-the-art terminal built by FRAPORT – Frankfurt international airport operator – will allow increasing the efficiency of UIA passenger service and baggage processing as well as providing transfer passengers with more comfortable conditions. Thus, passengers flying with UIA to St. Petersburg and taking advantage of the services of Rossiya Airlines – the leading Ukraine`s carrier code-share partner-airline – will be provided with an opportunity to catch their connecting flights within a single terminal.
Significant number of immigration and aviation safety control points, comfortable transfer area, boarding bridges, modern baggage dispensing and delivery system, terminal`s spacious area will allow passengers to spend less time on airport formalities.
“We are glad to transfer our flights to the new terminal since it will allow to significantly increase UIA passengers` handling standards and to make baggage processing more efficient, – noted Anton Borisiuk, UIA Vice-president Service and Logistics. – We congratulate Pulkovo International airport`s management on the upcoming Terminal 1 inauguration and hope that state-of-the-art solutions, well-developed infrastructure, and all domestic and international carriers` relocation to a single terminal will contribute to the development of St. Petersburg`s transit potential and Pulkovo International airport`s transformation into a large Russia`s northern hub”.
