DB Schenker Rail UK to further improve on its customer relationship and service delivery

DB Schenker Rail UK is set to introduce a realignment of its UK leadership structure in order to further improve on its customer relationship and service delivery. 
The UK’s leading rail freight operator has announced a number of changes which will take effect immediately, however with the main implementation set to come into operation from 01 January 2014, the company will in the meantime remain in a strong position to deliver on its commitments during the Autumn season. 
Geoff Spencer, Chief Executive DB Schenker Rail UK has given assurances to customers that they can expect a smooth transition as the company moves from the current business segment structure, to a dedicated sales and production organisation in the New Year.      
“As we head towards 2014 with renewed strength and vigor, we will be looking to increase the size of our workforce whilst continuing our investment in the future of the business,” explains Spencer.  
“This realignment is not a restructuring and there will be no job losses.  DB Schenker Rail UK is actively recruiting for a number of roles including drivers and production managers and other key positions. 
”My priority is to ensure that this organisation delivers on our service promises to our customers. This realignment creates a platform to enable us to deliver on these commitments going forward.”
