Cargolux expands S America route network

Luxembourg-based cargo airline, Cargolux, has announced plans to commence Boeing 747 freighter flights to Buenos Aires in Argentina on a new, additional South America rotation, according to the Shipping Gazette.
The decision to expand its network with the "additional rotation" to South America is due to rising exports and demand for air cargo capacity out of Ecuador and Colombia as well as the need for extra capacity from Brazil in combination with the service to Argentina, reports supplychaindigital.com.
Flight CV7643 departs from Luxembourg every Wednesday and is routed to Buenos Aires' Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini de Ezeiza via Viracopos, Brazil.
The return flight from Argentina, CV7654, touches down in Latacunga, Bogota, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and Maastricht before returning to Luxembourg on Thursdays.
Aside from general cargo, the airline expects to transport on the services to Argentina consumer goods and automotive and spare parts. Return flights will carry mainly perishables, automotive parts and live animals such as horses.
