Singapore-based Mapletree Group, a leading Asia-focused real estate development, recently held talks with Hubei Provincial Commerce Department on setting up a comprehensive logistics industrial park in Wuhan, reports Xinhua.
The facility would be located at the Jiangxia district. Phase 1 would start construction in this March, occupying an area of 13.3 hectares, entailing an investment of CNY600 million (US$98.88 million).
Two major parks would be built offering services for advanced manufacturing industry, international industry, e-commerce and modern logistics.
The project aims to develop large e-commerce high-end third party logistics and will attract companies such as Benz, BMW, Deutsche Post, DHL and Avon Products to promote the regional economy development, according to Shipping Gazette.
