During the two-day meeting, MAFEX will actively be involved to present the current situation of the Spanish railway sector, the companies that compose its powerful industrial base and the technological solutions and products that have been developed by these companies in recent years and that have already been implemented in many countries.
The meetings of MAFEX representatives with senior charges of the Transport and Business sector of Slovenia will allow to learn more about the many projects that are planned in the country and present the competitive advantages of Spanish companies to perform successfully the development and modernization of railway networks in the country, thanks to its consolidated experience and the wide range of technology solutions available in all areas and sub-sectors (civil works, equipment, signalling, rolling stock, etc.)

Slovenia promotes a strategic railway development
Slovenia has launched the Strategic Railway Development Program, which runs until 2023. It is a large plan which aims to modernize existing infrastructure corridors V and X of the Trans European Railway Network. These two initiatives are hogging most of the investment, which will be allocated to the Ljubljana - Divača line (part of the European Corridor V covering the route Lyon-Trieste-Divača/Koper-Divača-Liubliana-Budapest) to the Italian border.
In addition to continuing the electrification and doubling of track works, Slovenia plans to increase freight capacity across the rail network and the modernization of the signalling equipment, among others. Also, the country wants to undertake additional projects including the reconstruction of the Pragesko - Hodos (border with Hungary) pathway or the modernization of existing level crossings in the network.
