Rejlers to support Jernbaneverket's rail expansion in Norway

Rejlers Norway has secured a contract to serve as the project support for the Norwegian National Rail Administration, Jernbaneverket, as part of the country's InterCity railway expansion, according to Railway Technology.
Under the deal, a number of Rejlers Norway's senior rail experts will assist in the planning of new routes.
Railway expertise, operations and maintenance, planning, architecture, landscape architecture and process management services are also covered under the agreement.
Jernbaneverket InterCity project director Anne Siri Haugen said: "The contract gives us access to a competent and experienced group of consultants, who can assist us with advice in many different areas.
"It provides our project with the capacity and expertise needed to plan the expansion of the 230km railway."
According to Rejlers Norway, the four-year contract includes a possible one-year extension.
The InterCity railway expansion is one of the largest transport investments under Norway's National Transport Plan.
As part of the expansion, the routes between Oslo and Hamar and between Tønsberg and Seut via Fredrikstad, will be complete by 2024, while the Lillehammer, Oslo and Halden expansion will be complete by 2030.
The Division Rail Consult in Rejlers Norway received the project support agreement in cooperation with Dronninga Landscape, CF Møller Architects and Tom Stillesby.
