Fiege takes over logistics customer service for Airbus Helicopters


Airbus Helicopters Deutschland has been sub-contracting some of the operational activities of its global logistics customer service in the area of front office and order administration to the Fiege Group since March 2014. Not far from its manufacturing plant in Donauwörth, Fiege is processing global orders for end customers and civilian customers of Airbus Helicopters' branches.
Fiege's customer service team handles all enquiries regarding spare part deliveries and repair processing and accepts orders in nine languages. In addition to excellent language skills, its employees also have a great deal of technical expertise and very good commercial training due to the technically demanding nature of the products. In order to ensure individual customer support, each employee is responsible for a clearly defined customer base.
Within just three weeks of the contract being awarded, Fiege had assembled a new team and was successfully operating customer services for Airbus Helicopters in Donauwörth. ‘By taking over high-quality customer service operations, we are creating worthwhile added value for our customers – particularly those in industries with technically demanding products requiring a lot of explanation such as the aviation industry. We've been able to demonstrate to Airbus Helicopters that we can do this with a great team, even within a very short time,’ said Walter Johne, Managing Director Fiege Industrial.
The logistics company from Greven, Westphalia, specialises in providing solutions to complex supply chain requirements and recently bolstered its customer service expertise. Taking over customer service for Airbus Helicopters represents a further advance into the area of customer service operations following the formation of a joint venture with Cologne-based AIC Service & Call Center GmbH in February 2014.
