The logistics company from Versmold uses thermo sprinters for express deliveries for the first time.

Thermotraffic, international logistics company for temperature-controlled transports, offers a new express service for the transportation of pharmaceutical products, food and chemicals. The new thermo sprinters weigh a maximum of 3.5 tons and can transport up to eight Euro pallets with a weight of up to 1200 kilograms. They are equipped with powerful cooling units and a dividing door with which the loading area can be separated into two different temperature zones. With ADR equipment, these thermo sprinters can also be used for the transportation of hazardous goods.
Thermotraffic’s 24 hour service and a fleet of about 50 vehicles enable pharmaceuticals, food and chemicals to be driven at a temperature of between +2˚C and +25˚C all over Europe. Especially destinations such as France, the UK, Poland, Italy and Scandinavia are going to be regularly served.
Ever since the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guideline was changed in September 2013, there has been a growing demand for transports of pharmaceuticals with smaller vehicles. High requirements regarding transport quality and speed are at the focus of attention. Pharmaceuticals, highly perishable food, laboratory samples or chemicals which need to be transported in a temperature-controlled environment, require an express delivery service.
Thermo sprinters transport the goods directly to the consignee. Time-consuming transshipping is not necessary. The temperature is continuously checked by sensors in the loading area. A temperature log can be printed out, if required.
Thermotraffic therefore offers an even quicker and more flexible service to its customers, which is going to be further expanded in the coming years.
