CN rail service resumed

The Canadian National Railway (CN) was to resume service on a line in rural Saskatchewan after workers removed debris from a fiery train derailment that led to the evacuation of the nearby village of Clair (pop 50), according to Shipping Gazette.
Twenty-six cars derailed, six of which carried dangerous goods, two with petroleum distillate, which caught fire. Four derailed cars were carrying hydrochloric acid and two contained caustic soda.
The train from Winnipeg to had three locomotives pulling 100 cars. There were no injuries and residents soon returned to their homes.
Said CN spokesman Jim Feeny: "Air, soil and water quality tests are being conducted. They"re rebuilding the track. That will take a few hours.”
"The train was traveling at 40 miles per hour when a train-initiated brake application occurred,” the Canadian Tranport Safety Board said.
