OOCL shifts from Maersk's APMT to Hutchison's ECT

Hong Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced that its transatlantic service, namely Atlantic Express 1 (AX1) and its Pacific Atlantic 1 (PA1), will begin calling ECT Delta Terminal (ECT) in Rotterdam, instead of APM Terminal (APMT), from early May, according to Shipping Gazette.
In doing so, it switches from Maersk's port operator APM Terminals to Hong Kong's Hutchison-owned European Container Terminals.
The first terminal change will come with the Atlantic Express 1 (AX1) with the arrival of the 8,063-TEU OOCL Southampton, voyage 057W, ETA Rotterdam on May 6.
The second terminal change with the Pacific Atlantic 1 (PA1) with the arrival of the 4,612-TEU Kobe Express, voyage 084W, ETA Rotterdam on May 8.
"For any questions or enquiries, please contact our local customer service representatives. Thank you for your continued support of OOCL," said the OOCL statement.
Europe Container Terminals is the largest stevedoring company in Europe for containers in the port of Rotterdam. Since 2002, the company owned by the Hutchison Port Holdings Group based in Hong Kong (HPH).
