American Airlines starts Dallas/Fort Worth-Madrid Dreamliner service

American Airlines has launched its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Madridn (MAD), offering cargo customers up to 36 LD3 positions, or 12 pallets, according to Shipping Gazette.
The 787-9 Dreamliner is also currently operating from DFW to Sao Paulo (GRU) and, in January, will be added to the DFW-Paris (CDG) route.
Similarly, in February of 2017, cargo customers will also benefit from the use of the new 787-9 between DFW and Incheon (ICN), the company said.
"The introduction of the 787-9 brings another more fuel efficient aircraft type with even greater cargo capacity into the American Airlines fleet," said American Airlines cargo chief, vice president David Vance.
"On routes where we operate the aircraft, our cargo customers will see notable capacity improvements. We are especially pleased that DFW to Madrid is one of the first routes to benefit from the use of this aircraft."
The 787 was designed to be 20 per cent more fuel efficient than the Boeing 767, which it was intended to replace.
