CMA CGM levies July Indian Ocean, Mediterranean rate hikes

French shipping giant CMA CGM has announced a US$200 per TEU rate increase from Asia to South Africa and Mauritius from July 1 as well as new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rate hikes from Asia to the Mediterranean.
The straight rate increase, or "rate restoration" applies to all cargo, dry, reefer, outsize and breakbulk from Asia, including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh to South Africa and Mauritius.
For the West Med, the new FAK rates from July 14 are $1,100 per TEU, $2,100 per FEU, $2,150 per 40-foot high cube and $2,150 per FEU reefer.
For the Adriatic, the new FAK rates from July 14 are $1,100 per TEU, $2,100 per FEU, $2,150 per 40-foot high cube and $2,150 per FEU reefer.
For the Black Sea, the new FAK rates from July 14 are $1,700 per TEU, $2,500 per FEU, $2,500 per 40-foot high cube and $2,500 per FEU reefer.
For the East Med, the new FAK rates from July 14 are $1,700 per TEU, $2,500 per FEU, $2,500 per 40-foot high cube and $2,500 per FEU reefer.
For Syria, the new FAK rates from July 14 are $1,700 per TEU, $2,500 per FEU, $2,500 per 40-foot high cube and $2,500 per FEU reefer.
