Panalpina to fully deploy Validaide software in early 2018

Swiss logistics provider Panalpina says all of its business units will fully deploy Validaide software by the end of the first quarter of 2018, reports New York's Air Cargo World.
Validaide, air freight shipment software, qualifies suppliers and assesses route risks, and shares that data with producers of medicinal products so they can assess the capabilities of logistics suppliers.
Panalpina is the launch customer of Amsterdam-based Validaide software, whose functions are now becoming an EU requirement under Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines.
After merging data from the suppliers with hundreds of transport routes assessed by experts, Panalpina said that the platform provided customers with "very high supply chain transparency at their fingertips".
Said Validaide co-founder and managing director Eelco de Jong: "The community members on the platform - for example airlines, ground handling agents and trucking companies - can showcase their capabilities to existing and potential customers, meaning third-party logistics providers, such as Panalpina."
Mr de Jong added that suppliers were responsible for their data, and could decide with whom they want to share it.
Said Panapina air cargo chief Markus Muecke: "Our customers, especially healthcare customers, trust us to work with qualified suppliers to assess risk in the supply chain. Validaide makes the process more efficient, dynamic and transparent."
