United, ANA expand cargo jv to cover westbound transpacific routes

United Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) have expanded the network coverage of their air freight joint venture by adding westbound transpacific routes, which started from February 6.
Their upgraded service offers customers shipping goods from the US or Canada to Japan quicker transport times and "enhanced technology to create one-stop shopping for customers," United Cargo said.
Shipments moving in the other direction have benefited from the same arrangement since the partners launched the joint venture in July 2016, London's Air Cargo News reported.
Between them, the carriers operate 360 non-stop flights per week to 15 destinations, as well as provide flight and truck connections within North America.
