Turkish Airlines' cargo/mail volumes surge 24pc YoY in October


Turkish Cargo, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, saw its cargo/mail volume in October rise by 24 per cent compared to the same period a year ago, demonstrating that the carrier is able to maintain its double-digit growth trajectory.
The main contributors to the growth in cargo/mail volumes are domestic routes where volumes increased by 42 per cent, Africa with an increase of 35 per cent, North America volumes were up 30 per cent and Europe up 24 per cent, reported Transport & Logistics, Middle East.
Africa, North America, Europe and the Far East showed load factor growth of seven points, four points, three points and three points respectively.
Turkish Airlines recorded passenger growth of five per cent in October to reach 6.5 million passengers in total, while the load factor went up to 83.4 per cent.
