ABC flies 200 Dutch dairy cattle to Yuzhno Sakhalinsk in Russia

Two hundred breeding cattle benefited from AirBridgeCargo's specialist "abc Care" services when they were flown from Amsterdam to Yuzhno Sakhalinsk in Russia for Intradco Global, reported London's Air Cargo News.
The heifers, each weighing some 500 kgs, were kept in a carefully maintained temperature environment, with every stage of the transportation monitored and controlled by the airline's 24/7 Control Tower specialists to guarantee the animals' comfort and safety, and to ensure their journey is completed as quickly as possible.
Dedicated "abc Care" specialists helped with all customer requirements relating to documentation, permits, stocking density, ventilation requirements and other aspects of the animals' well-being.
Said Intradco Global project manager Tom Lamb: "This represents one of the largest single shipments of dairy cattle Intradco Global has ever coordinated.
"Like human passengers, animals are now getting a quieter and smoother flight experience thanks to the availability of new-generation freighters like ABC's Boeing 747-8F fleet. This means our customers have more choices than ever for international shipments," said Mr Lamb.
Said AirBridgeCargo general director Sergey Lazarev: "We are proud to have been entrusted with supporting the development of the agricultural sector of the Russian Far East. So far in 2018, we have safely delivered various breeds of cattle weighing more than 450 tons to the region onboard four charter flights."
In the first 10 months of 2018, ABC has transported 2,000 tons of live animals, an increase of 35 per cent on the same period in 2017.
