Once again, SIL will come back breaking records. The 9th International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition, which will take place in Barcelona from 5th to 8th of June 2007, is in the way of becoming the greatest of the history, not only for the number of exhibiting companies but also for the occupied surface. It will also be the best international Exhibition, a fact that turns it into the logistics business reference in Europe.
According Enrique Lacalle, the president of SIL, this demand turnover “confirms that the Exhibition offers to the companies a true value in terms of benefits. Participate at SIL it does not only mean to take part into the first logistics exhibition of the South of Europe, but also it is a key factor of competitiveness for the exhibitors, both in getting a business turnover and in having the opportunity to achieve new markets”.
The growing internationalisation of the event —that had already counted with exhibiting companies from 66 countries in the last edition — is also captured by the prestige and the high level of some of the companies that will be attending in 2007. This way, companies as the German Panalpina and Westfalia Holding Systems GMBH & CO.KG, the French Eurotunnel, or the Dutch Cascade, Astre Península Ibérica and Legro, among others, have already announced their participation at the 9th SIL.
A sustainable growing
The growing achieved by the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition has its base in the high level of allegiance. More than 50% of the companies that have participated as exhibitors in the 8 first editions will be present at SIL 2007. This fact confirms the event as an essential business platform for the companies of the sector.
The promotion launched has also remarkably contributed to the development of SIL, which has focused from the very beginning into an international projection. So, from the closure of the last edition, the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition has participated and has broadcasted its offer to the following fairs: Lille (France), Utrecht (The Netherlands) and Istanbul (Turkey), among others.
SIL 2007 will be divided into 3 big sectors: Warehousing, Equipment and Material Handling; Information Technologies (IT); and Infrastructures, Transport and Logistics Systems. Each one of these sectors will count with the participation of the most representative companies, which will show the most relevant novelties in products and logistics services.
