“K” Line to change Terminal Operator in Vancouver

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line) announced that it has contracted with DP World Vancouver to provide terminal and stevedoring services for


the “K” Line’s PNW service for its Vancouver B.C. port call. 
DP World Vancouver operates the recently upgraded terminal Centerm. “K” Line will be the first new customer to call at Centerm after the terminal completed its major renovation and expansion. Through this new contract with DP World Vancouver, “K” Line is confident of enhancing the services it presently provides to its current and future Canadian customers. 
“K” Line will inaugurate its service to Centerm terminal on March 18, 2007 with the call of the “GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE.”
“K” Line operates five 5500TEU vessels in its PNW loop providing direct call service into Vancouver from / to the important Chinese ports of Xiamen, Hong Kong, Yantian and Shanghai.

“K” Line’s PNW port rotation remains unchanged as follows:

Xiamen – Hong Kong – Yantian – Shanghai – Nagoya – Tokyo – Tacoma – Vancouver – Tokyo – Nagoya – Kobe – Xiamen.
