In 2007, 76 million Euros are provided for the introduction of new technologies in the Slovenian seaport Koper, for the construction of new warehouses, for the expansion of the container terminal as well as for the construction of a new motorway feeder road.
The port management sees a major growth potential, especially in container traffic. In 2006 about 14 million tons of goods were handled in the seaport Koper. The quantities for Austria added up to 3,7 million tons.
