European transport and logistics group Transalliance has ordered 2,100 TGA semitrailer tractors from MAN Nutzfahrzeuge. The vehicles are fitted with Euro 4 exhaust-gas technology. In 2005 and 2006 Transalliance put a total of 800 MAN vehicles into service.
The new MAN TGA 18.440 semitrailer tractors will be handed over between 2007 and 2009 and are destined for service in France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Belgium and Luxemburg.
According to the company, Transalliance, which has a turnover of nearly €530 million, based its decision on MAN's dense service and sales network in the countries concerned. "We are proud to have sold almost 3,000 MAN vehicles to our premium customer Transalliance within just five years", declared Josef Sindl, Head of the Business Center Key Account at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, on signing the contract.
