Agility names new President & CEO of Global Integrated Logistics unit
The leading logistics provider Agility has named Essa Al-Saleh as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Global Integrated Logistics unit. Global Integrated Logistics (GIL) is the company’s private sector, core global logistics businesses. His GIL responsibilities include leadership, management and growth of the company’s global logistics delivery platform.
Previously, Al-Saleh was Agility’s Managing Director for Corporate Development. He reports directly to Agility’s Chairman and Managing Director, Tarek Sultan. The change, effective immediately, has been the result of the company’s rapid expansion and growth, according to Sultan.
“The brisk development within our organization and industry are driving us to take a new look at how we manage our business,” said Sultan, in making the announcement. “Given Essa’s knowledge of Agility’s global network and leading role in our growth strategy, he is ideally suited for this important new position.”
Al-Saleh has been with Agility since 1998, and has played a vital role in the company’s transformation from a regional player to a global logistics leader through acquisitions and organic growth.
Born in the United States, he holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Boston College and a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University.
