The Kazakh Authorities and the members of the Kashagan  Consortium signed today in Astana a Memorandum of Understanding pursuant to the negotiations
undertaken under the North Caspian Sea Production Sharing Agreement. The
Parties agreed to continue negotiations beyond the 22nd of October in the
spirit of positive and constructive cooperation. The parties have also
agreed the framework within which negotiations will be held.
