Agility consolidates European operations for future growth

  24.10.2007

Agility has re-aligned its European operations to pave the way for its ongoing expansion plans and to drive forward the integration of the companies acquired over the past months. The new structure of its operations in the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany strengthens Agility’s position as a major logistics solutions provider in the European region.
In the Netherlands, Agility has consolidated its three Rotterdam offices, concentrating all it’s services at the centre of one of the world’s largest ports in the ‘Dockworks’ shipping area in Rotterdam Waalhaven. The Agility office in Amsterdam will relocate to a new facility at Schiphol airport. Both locations offer abundant warehouse capacity and office space, enabling Agility to accommodate expansion and to operate with greater efficiency.
Agility also has moved into new facilities in Augsburg, Germany with 3,000 square meters of increased warehousing space including Cross Docks and 2,300 pallet positions.
Spain sees new logistics centers in Madrid and Valencia. 12’000 square meters of fully secured warehouse space are operated in Daganzo, just 30 km northeast of Madrid. In Valencia, Agility has significantly improved warehousing, logistics and distribution services thanks to a new, larger logistics center.
In France, Agility will consolidate offices in the Paris area to enhance operational efficiency and offer all customers a comprehensive service for their business needs. Gonesse will be home to all the logistics operations, the sales teams from the Paris and Roissy areas along with overland and sea freight team.
«Agility Europe is following a dynamic growth strategy, aiming at firmly establishing the company among the leading logistics service providers. The new premises in the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany enable us to increase productivity and effectiveness, to lay the foundation for our future growth strategy, but most importantly service our customers better », says Beat Simon, CEO of Agility Europe.
