Around 2,000 exhibitors from 70 countries present - 45,000 top decision-makers from 120 countries expected - All upper-level halls at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds booked
The international fresh produce world is gearing up for a record-breaking trade event on 7-9 February. All of the industry's key global players and companies inolved in the supply chain will be on hand at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2008 to present an unparalleled overview of the international fresh produce market. With 12% more exhibition space in 2008, the event will occupy the full 81,000 sqm of space available on the upper levels of Halls 1 to 25 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. The new hall concept will enable trade visitors to visit all parts of the exhibition in a single circle. This makes it easier to see the full range of products and services from around the world, regardless of whether one enters the exhibition grounds through the south entrance or the north entrance, which will be open for the first time in 2008. The world's leading trade fair for fruit and vegetable marketing is expecting to attract about 2,000 exhibitors from 70 countries. Around 85% of the registered companies are from outside of Germany, including new exhibitors from Latvia, Lebanon and Madagascar. Some 45,000 top decision-makers from more than 120 countries will be in Berlin for the trade event. Initially launched in 1993, FRUIT LOGISTICA is taking place for the 16th time next year.
The fact that FRUIT LOGISTICA has once again achieved double-digit growth is a result of an almost 10% increase in first-time exhibitors along with the demand for more exhibition space by major fruit producing countries Spain, Italy, France and the Netherlands. Turkey and Russia will also be present in 2008 with much larger stands. Morocco, the FRUIT LOGISTICA 2008 partner country, is planning its most comprehensive trade fair presentation ever in Berlin.
The opening ceremony for FRUIT LOGISTICA 2008 will take place on 6th February at 6:00pm at the ICC Berlin, Saal 2. Visitors are invited beforehand to attend the 27th Fresh Produce Forum where the main topic will be "New consumer expectations – trends at the point of sale".

The Online Ticketing Service (www.fruitlogistica.com => Visitor Info => Tickets) offers tickets at preferential prices: €22 Euro for a one-day ticket, €53 Euro for a 3-day pass.
