Middle East's
emerging logistics and shipping industries are not only experiencing major
challenges but also are being offered great business opportunities. Maritime
industries are facing extraordinary change with the effects of globalization.
Supply chains are stretching as globally sourced manufacturing grows, and
shipping lines are busier than ever. The demands of world trade on global supply
chains are increasing and logistics issues are and will continue to be a top
priority. As such, the efficiency of port logistics is becoming an increasingly
essential component in the worldwide flow of goods and services and port
operators must strive to meet the rapidly expanding needs of customers.
Consequently,
the Conference aims to focus upon the key issues these two industries are facing
in the 21st century. A forum will be provided to discuss recent trends and
developments, current issues and future challenges in the logistics and shipping
industries from ME's perspective.
The conference
will analyze latest global transportation and logistics issues in the Middle
East region and the impact on global shipping and trade. It will provide a
platform for professionals & personnel from companies that import/export
material overseas, containers liners, third Party Logistics, Shippers, agents,
port and port infrastructure and shipping infrastructure to understand
challenges and opportunities, as the Gulf coastal facilities become more hi-tech
and efficient in nature.
