Bombardier Transportation announced that it has received an order from Electro-Motive Diesel Inc. (EMD) to assemble 145 SD70ACe EMD locomotives. The order, valued at approximately 66 million euros ($94 million US), is based on a framework agreement signed between the parties April 3, 2007. The contract calls for fabrication of sub-parts and assembly of the locomotives at Bombardier’s production facilities in Sahagun, Mexico. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by mid-March 2008 and take place through the end of the year.
