Half a million cars for Luka Koper

Yesterday, 18th December 2007, on the Luka Koper's Car Terminal the 500.000th car was unloaded from the vessel Tai Shan (Wallenius Lines), which brought 3,700 Hyundai and Kia cars from Korea.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank in the first place all the co-workers and business partners, maritime agents and forwarders, without whom this record wouldn't be possible," said yesterday Mr. Gregor Belič, director of the Car Terminal.
The car traffic is rapidly growing in Koper. It is 4 times bigger in respect to the figures from 2002. The Car Terminal in Koper is one of the biggest and better equipped terminals in the Mediterranean, with the presence of more than 20 car makers from Europe, Turkey, Japan and South Korea and the world's biggest car carriers.
