World Shipping (China) Summit 2008 to Take Place in Dalian
World Shipping (China)
Summit, the prominent yearly event for the World shipping circle jointly
organized by China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, China Maritime, Drewry
Shipping Consultants Limited (UK), the Journal of Commerce (USA) and Dalian
Municipal People’s Government, will be held alongside Shiport China 2008 on
November 6.7, 2008 in Dalian under the same ceiling of Dalian World Expo Center.
To celebrate the coincidence of these two major events, the organizers of
Shiport China have decided to change the show date from October 23.25 to
November 5.8, 2008, exhibition period extended to 4 days and the exhibition
venue kept unchanged. World Shipping (China) Summit was first initiated by COSCO
Group in 2004 in Beijing following which Shanghai, Shenzhen and Tianjin
successfully hosted the Summit. Most recently, the previous Summit was finished
in early November, 2007. The Summit was actively attended by governmental
institutes, organizations, shipbuilders, shipping companies, logistics
providers, port authorities, traders etc from around the world. For more

Shiport China, organized by China Association of the National Shipbuilding
Industry, the Chinese Society of Naval Architects and Dalian Municipal People’s
Government, has grown to be one of the leading maritime trade shows in China. It
specially features revolutionary innovations in areas like shipbuilding, ship
repairing, ship auxiliaries, port/logistics, ocean engineering, marine services,
marine technology and ships/boats etc. After careful considerations and
justification, for the benefits of exhibitors, the Show organizers finally
concluded a change of Show date to meet the dates of the Summit. Around 1,000
