Industrial Dart maiden voyage

Intermarine’s newest heavy lift ship the M/V Industrial Dart was recently presented with a Maiden Voyage plaque to celebrate the first

call of the vessel at Industrial Terminals in Houston. The plaque was presented by Darce Kullman, General Manager of Industrial Terminals to Captain Vasyl Usenko, Master
of the Industrial Dart. Attending from Intermarine were also Alberto Mejia, Marketing Manager, Jesse Huebner, Operations Manager, and Ken Burns, Port Operations. Delivered in mid January, the vessel called the port of Houston to join Intermarine’s services fleet to South America.
The vessel loaded project cargoes and containers for the North Coast of South America and Brazil. The heaviest piece was a 150 MT control house for La Brea in Trinidad & Tobago that was easily accommodated by the vessel’s 2 x 250-ton combinable cranes.
The Industrial Dart is the last in a series of six new sister ships entering the Intermarine fleet. Designated as the Diamond class vessels, these 8,000 dwt ships feature dual 250 metric ton cranes that may be combined for up to 500-ton lifts. With an overall length of 120 meters and beam of 20 meters, the ships have the same hull design as the seven Century class vessels, which are also operated by Intermarine services. The new ships incorporate enhanced cargo handling capability and increased lifting capacity. Intermarine’s service fleet features thirteen of the versatile mid-sized Century and Diamond Class ships.
Intermarine is a worldwide provider of ocean transport services as well as inland heavy haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy lift cargoes.
