Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) announced new investments in additional facility enhancement projects to further upgrade its facilities, underlining its commitment to support Hong Kong’s cargo growth.
With the aim of improving the reliability and efficiency of its cargo handling services, Hactl is now constructing three canopies, with a total investment of HK$21 million, to enhance protection to cargoes in adverse weather conditions. These three linked canopies, covering 2,192 square metres in total, will be built at the northeastern corner of SuperTerminal 1, further underlining Hactl’s commitment to extend its premier services in every aspect. The project is scheduled to complete in the second quarter of 2009, showing Hactl’s continuous initiatives to advance its state-of-the-art operations.
Hactl also values the importance of customer services for its business partners, and the company earlier also started a revamp of its Landside Service Counters situated next to the Customs Examination Halls at SuperTerminal 1. These centralised counters will provide convenient and modern facilities for cargo forwarders and truckers and will further improve the efficiency and convenience of cargo and document processing and customer enquiry handling.
