The volume of the Port of Helsinki’s unitised cargo traffic reached 3.9 tonnes between January and April, a decrease of approximately 3% over the same period last year. The volume of containers was 143,000 TEU and rubber-tyred units numbered 180,000, a decrease of 4% for each.
Passenger traffic increased by 5% from last year. There were over 2.4 million passengers, of whom 66% used the Tallinn services and 30% used the Stockholm services. The passenger services transported 220,000 cars or vans, an increase of 16%.
