The website has been activated


On occasion of the fifth edition of the Atlantic Logistic Forum (ALF 2008) to be held on 17th
and 18th November at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao, the Aquitaine-Euskadi Logistics
Platform (PLAE) has activated the forum’s new website, where you will find information
regarding the event and instructions on how to register.
The website’s address is the same as for previous ALF editions: www.forumalf.com
The Atlantic Logistic Forum (ALF) is the first cross-border Transport and Logistics Forum of the
Atlantic Arc, a sphere for discussion, for the exchange of interests, for reaching and
formalising agreements, transactions and business deals. The objective of ALF is to
contribute to the improvement of the sector through the exchange of useful knowledge, to
encourage encounters aimed at increased cooperation and to foment agreements
between the different agents in the field of logistics.
The fifth edition of ALF (2008) will consist of a series of lectures, round tables and discussion
groups with the participation of senior executives from the Transport and Logistics sector.
The guest country at this edition will be Switzerland, so as to offer delegates to the Forum a
more complete vision of the logistics sector in that country, and in particular in respect to
sustainable transport.
At the Forum’s fifth edition there will be:

Political Representatives
Presence of persons in charge of transport from the Basque Regional Government, the
Government of the Region of Aquitaine and from the guest country, Switzerland.

Lectures and discussions
3 plenary lectures
2 discussion groups
Participation of the sector’s major professionals

Visit to the Port of Bilbao
In the morning, attendees will have the opportunity of visiting the facilities of the Port of

Guest country: SWITZERLAND
The sessions will aim at increasing attendees’ knowledge of logistics in Switzerland, in
particular in respect to its rail transport system.
