November traffic results

Passenger activity
Following the Air France strike of 14 to 17 November 2008 which led to the cancellation of around a third
of flights, traffic declined by 0.8% in line with capacity (-0.7%). Long-haul traffic held up well, increasing by
0.4%.  The  load factor  was  virtually  stable  at  78.3% (-0.1 pt).  The  group  carried  5.6 million  passengers
(-5.2%).
Without the impact of the strike, Air France-KLM would have recorded a rise in both traffic and capacity in
the region of 1.8% for the month of November 2008.
- On the Americas network traffic declined by 0.4% with capacity up by 0.3%. The load factor stood at
81.1% (-0.6 pts).
- The  Asia  network  saw  a  decline  in  traffic  of  0.4%  with  capacity  up  by  0.6%.  The  load  factor  fell
0.8 points to 83.7%.
- On the Africa and Middle East network traffic rose 3.3% with capacity up by 2.3%. The load factor
gained 0.7 points to 76.8%.
- The Caribbean and Indian Ocean network recorded a 0.6% increase in traffic with capacity down by
3.0%. The load factor gained 3.1 points to 86.7%. 
- The European network saw traffic down 5.8% with a 4.2% reduction in capacity. The load factor stood
at 65.8% (-1.1 point).

Cargo activity
In November 2008, cargo traffic was affected by the slowdown in trade, declining by 13.2%, with capacity
reduced by 7.5%. The load factor fell by 4.3 points to 67.1%.
