GAC Shipping strengthens team in North Asia

  07.01.2009

GAC Shipping today announced the appointment of Jessie Gong as its new Shipping Marketing Manager to drive GAC’s shipping business in North Asia.
Based in Shanghai, Jessie is responsible for growing the company’s existing business and expanding its regional customer base, specifically in China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. In her account management capacity, she will be instrumental in providing an exemplary level of service to meet the requirements of GAC’s clients in the region.
Prior to joining GAC, Jessie worked for an international shipping agency company, and also held position in a trading environment where she assisted Europe-based buyers to source and ship materials from China.
With a strong background in sales and marketing, Jessie has built an in-depth understanding of the international shipping industry. Her extensive experience gives her the added advantage in providing the kind of support and assistance required by Chinese owners and charterers when their vessels call in ports outside of China.
“We are pleased to have Jessie onboard. This appointment signifies GAC’s long term commitment to the maritime industry in North Asia,” says Neil Godfrey, GAC Group Sales Director - Shipping Services. “With China’s growing importance as a key global trade and shipping hub, her international experience and understanding of the ship agency industry will be an asset to GAC as we expand our customer base in the region.”
