Maersk Line has won three top accolades—Best Global Shipping Line, Best Asia-Europe Line and Best Green Service Provider—at the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards held here last week, Exim News Service reported.
Organised by the Hong Kong-based Cargonews Asia, the awards also recognised Maersk Line’s contribution to the maritime industry’s development in Asia. The judges based their votes on reliability, service delivery, service network and commitment to corporate social responsibility.
This is the 22nd consecutive year that Maersk Line has been recognised as the Best Shipping Line—Asia-Europe, the 16th year it has received the Best Global Shipping Line honour and the first year it was awarded the Best Green Service Provider.
Maersk Line said in a statement that the awards demonstrate the wide recognition for its unrivalled customer service and a benchmark for excellence.
Commented Mr Tim Smith, Maersk Line’s North Asia Chief Executive, "We appreciate all the support and confidence our customers have shown us by voting Maersk Line the best global carrier. We remain committed to truly understanding our customers and their business, and to developing high quality, reliable and sustainable services to meet their requirements. We are truly committed to supporting our clients’ efforts to weather the storm by providing the best services possible."
