Emirates Airline to deploy A380 on Paris route
According to The Shipping Gazette, Emirates has unveiled plans to replace Boeing 777 capacity with an Airbus A380 on its service to Paris, starting from February 1, 2010.
Emirates flies twice daily to the French capital. The aircraft will replace the early afternoon arrival from Dubai, reports AirCargo World.
"This is really great news for us to bring the A380 to Paris and is a result of such encouraging sales in and out of Paris Charles de Gaulle," said Emirates Airline president Tim Clark. "Our plans to introduce this exceptional aircraft have been accelerated by almost a year which, in the current economic climate, is a major achievement." Currently, Emirates operates five A380s to Toronto, London Heathrow, Bangkok, Sydney and Auckland. A further 53 aircraft are on order.
