New Dublin traffic system on way
Details of a new traffic system in Dublin city have been announced by the local authority and these will come into effect from next week.In a bid to reduce congestion in and around the city centre, cars will be banned from travelling through College Green during peak hours from Monday onwards.
However, this will mean that motorists will be forced to use other routes around the city, which may lead to further delays. Already all HGV’s have been banned from the city centre.
Buses and taxis are the only vehicles that will be allowed around the green during peak hours with the aim of the new system to improve the flow of public transport during peak hours, irishtrucker.com reported.
