MSC announced a rate restoration (RR) programme

Mediterranean Shipping Co. (MSC), the second-largest container shipping line in the world, has announced a rate restoration (RR) programme on the trade lane from India to Europe and Africa, according to Exim News Service.
For trade ex-India to North Europe, the UK, West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean and Black Sea ports, a rate restoration of $150/TEU effective from October 12 will be implemented.
For trade ex-India to East Africa, Mozambique, South Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, a rate restoration of $200/TEU effective from October 12 will be implemented.
These rate increases are in keeping with MSC's endeavour to offer its valued customers a comprehensive liner network, an efficient and reliable liner service at all times and ensure that high service levels are continuously maintained, explains a release.
MSC has a reputation of providing an unparalleled service network via dedicated own offices throughout the world. It is a truly independent and private company able to respond quickly to market changes and implement long-term plans without unnecessary interference or delay.
As on September 7, MSC was operating 391 container vessels with an intake capacity of 1,486,337 TEUs.
