Czech Railways decided to place CZK 140m this year and in 2010 for modernization of railway station buildings in Central and Northern Moravia. The money will be mostly spent for renovation of six stations.
The largest funds will be provided to the train station in Olomouc. Modernization of it will cost approx. CZK 18m. The building will have its main entrance renovated, so it would allow the wheelchair access. Also windows and the roof will be repaired.
According to Railway - CEE Review, another main stations to be renovated are: Holešov, Frýdlant nad Ostravicí, Jeseník, Bojkovice and Ostrava.
