Arriva PCC, a joint venture operating passenger trains in Kuyavia-Pomerania region, wants to launch a passenger service on the route Bydgoszcz - Kościerzyna - Gdynia - Gdańsk, Railway Market - CEE Review reports. The train would enter the new timetable, innaugurating on December 13th.
From that date PKP Przewozy Regionalne will no longer run trains on Kościerzyna - Czersk - Wierzchucin route. The services will be taken by Arriva.
The train Bydgoszcz - Gdańsk is to tun on Fridays and Sundays.
On the section Bydgoszcz - Kościerzyna the service would be subsidized by the Marshall Offices and between Kościerzyna and the Tricity they would run commercially.
The train tickets prices are not yet known.
The service itself was not yet confirmed by the operator and the authorities.
The service is to be named „Arriva Express”. Arrive will use the Dannish DMUs MR/MRD.
