Air China tightens cargo controls with new revenue accounting

CHAMP Cargosystems today announced that Air China, the flag carrier for the People's Republic of China, has selected Cargospot Revenue Accounting to further improve the management of their air cargo business. They join a group of more than 15 organisations that have already chosen Cargospot this year.
Air China will integrate Cargospot Revenue Accounting with its existing core cargo system to expedite billing and improve cash flow.  
Gao Lihua, General Manager, Accounting and Settlement Department, Air China, said: “We need a partner who is able to support Air China in achieving industry best practice through seamless, automated processes. By selecting CHAMP and its Cargospot Revenue Accounting product, Air China has acquired a revenue accounting system that will provide timely and accurate sales and revenue information, enabling us to further reduce our costs, increase yield and ensure compliance.” 
James Fernandez, CHAMP VP Sales and Marketing, said: “We are delighted Air China has chosen Cargospot to manage its revenue accounting, CHAMP has enjoyed a long term relationship with Air China so we are very pleased that they are joining more than 40 other organisations that currently use the Cargospot portfolio.” 
He added: “As carriers position themselves to be ready for the upturn in business we are seeing the majority of customers opting to include Cargospot Revenue with Cargospot Airline.This year alone has seen more than 15 new organisations opting for Cargospot, creating a diverse and comprehensive user group worldwide.” 
Air China operates international and domestic scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 250 destinations in the Far and Middle East, Australia, North America and Europe.
