The Shenzhen-based Chinese private freighter carrier – Donghai Airlines (J5) inaugurated non-stop scheduled freight services between Shenzhen (SZX) and Manila (MNL) on 15th December 2009. The new flight service operates on 2/4/7 three times a week with B747-300F aircraft.
Donghai Airline has been officially put into operation since September 2006. After three years of development, it has already scheduled Shenzhen to Vientiane, Dhaka, Phnom Penh and other international routes. In the next four years, Donghai Airlines plans to introduce two aircrafts each year and will be up to 12 or so aircrafts according to an annual rate of incremental expansion till 2012. Donghai airlines actively input additional investment on its capacity and business development under an economic recession circumstance that shows Donghai Airlines is fully confident on Shenzhen air freight market and take opportunities to further speed up its domestic and international air freight networks.
International Cargo Centre Shenzhen (ICCS) - a joint venture air cargo terminal between Shenzhen Airport Co.,Ltd and Lufthansa Cargo AG, currently handles a B747-300F freighter service on a route of Shenzhen to Hongkong and Chengdu for Donghai airlines based in Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport side. ICCS is ready and responsible for taking care of the additional B747-300F service for Donghai Airlines. ICCS continues to strive to be one of the preferred air cargo terminals within Pearl River Delta region and highly focus on the development of cross-strait flights between Mainland China and Taiwan in year of 2010.
