CEVA signed a three-year agreement with Mazda

  11.02.2010

CEVA Logistics has signed a three-year agreement with Mazda for the management of the distribution of spare parts throughout Italy, eyefortransport informs.
CEVA will collect the spare parts from Mazda's warehouse in Klagenfurt, Austria on a daily basis and transport them to the CEVA centre at Bentivoglio, near Bologna.
An estimated 120,000 packages will be sorted and distributed to the 140 Mazda Services (car dealers and authorised repairers) across Italy every year.
Vital to the efficiency of the operation is CEVA's ability to deliver the spare parts by midday the day after collection, in most regions of Italy.
CEVA's Track&Trace system will also enable constant visibility and traceability of the single parcels, to provide Mazda with real-time and accurate information.
CEVA will also manage the handling and processing of returns, including collecting parts from the dealers and shipping them to the company's warehouse in Austria.
