As part of its efforts to continuously address customer needs, Zim has announced the introduction of the Asia-Mediterranean-Europe (AME) service, a new cross-Suez service between Asia, India, the Mediterranean and Europe, Exim News Service reports.
The weekly service, which will deploy 12 3,800-TEU vessels, commences from April 7 in Shanghai.
Its port rotation will be: Shanghai, Da Chan Bay, Port Klang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Haifa, Ashdod, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Alexandria, Limassol, Haifa, Ashdod, Colombo, Shanghai.
The service will offer additional direct links to Europe and the Mediterranean from India, in addition to China and South-East Asia.
The AME service will be complementary to Zim’s other cross-Suez services, including the EMX service, and will have a slot swap agreement on the Asia-Europe Grand Alliance strings, Loops A, B and C.
