In the summer season, Latvian national airline airBaltic will start flights between Rīga and the Hungarian capital city of Budapest, thus offering convenient transit connections via North Hub Riga to and from destinations in Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS.
airBaltic Chief Commercial Officer Tero Taskila: “airBaltic customers, when asked about preferred destinations in Central Europe, have always requested Budapest, and we are delighted to now open this new route to the charming city to connect it to destinations in Scandinavia, Russia and the CIS.”
As of May 16, airBaltic will offer flights from Riga to Budapest four times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. One-way ticket prices will start at LVL 34 (EUR 49), including airport and transaction fees. Passengers will board Bombardier Q400 aircraft for flights that will last for two hours and 15 minutes.
