Volga-Dnepr Airlines signs deal with Aerofuels

Russia's Volga-Dnepr Airlines, the heavylift cargo carrier, has signed a long-term aviation fuel contract with Aerofuels Group for refuelling at its hub at Russia's Ulyanovsk Vostochny airport in central Russia.
According to the Shipping Gazette, the TZK Aerofuels and Aerofuels Ulyanovsk fuelling facility will supply the required annual fuel volume for all of Volga-Dnepr's flights at the airport.
"We have been cooperating with Volga-Dnepr Group both in Ulyanovsk and at other Russian airports for more than 10 years," says Aerofuels Group director general Vladimir Spiridonov. "We also help organise fuelling abroad."
Said Volga Dnepr supply chief Maxim Astashin: "We hope for further efficient cooperation with Aerofuels Group and are confident about the reliability of our long-standing fuelling partner".
Aerofuels Group owns a network of 15 fuelling facilities at Russian airports. It provides fuel supply services for aircraft at 25 airports across Russia, from Pskov to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It also organises fuel supply services in more than 900 airports throughout the globe.
Among its clients are 110 Russian and 50 foreign airlines. Since 1999, Aerofuels Group has been renovating existing fuelling facilities and building new ones, which meet Russian and international civil aviation standards. Aerofuels Group has invested around US$100 million in construction of fuelling facilities in Russia. The group includes Shell and Aerofuels, a joint venture with Shell Aviation. Aerofuels Group is one of the top 200 private Russian companies, according to the ranking provided by Forbes magazine.
